Welcome to Carer’s Collective

We help parent carers build resilience to support their health & wellbeing.

It’s rarely easy being a parent, being a parent-carer takes this to a whole other level! Our normal isn’t their normal when it comes to families. Parent-Carers have additional pressures, and challenges that can often push us to breaking point. We can help!

Building Resilience & Wellbeing 6- Week Programme for Parent Carers

We have a series of fully funded 6 week programme's and webinars in 2024.

We regularly hear the same stories from parent-carers; tales of exhaustion, worry for the future, fighting to get heard, feeling not listened to, repeating ourselves again and again – and on top of all of that, we have our relationships, families, and work to maintain.

Here, at Carers Collective, we cannot take all of that away. What we can do, however, is help you cope with it all better, through our Building Resilience & Wellbeing for Carers 6 week programme.

  • Learn to look after you better so you can be there for your loved ones.

  • Gain knowledge of how your brain works under stress.

  • Learn how to control your emotions so they don’t control you.

  • feel more energised, sleep better and find solutions easily.

You can Register for our programme here.

Building Resilience & Wellbeing Webinar Series

We believe that understanding how our brain works, and how it responds to stress, is the first step to supporting carers to cope better, build their resilience and boost their wellbeing.

In this webinar series, hosted by Kerry Seymour from Inspired to Change, we will take you on a whistle stop tour of the brain, explaining why the brain responds the way it does to the day to day stressors and challenges that come with being a carer.

We will also talk through some simple tools and solutions to help you to encourage your brain to respond in a more helpful way to these challenges - helping you to take back control, prioritise your wellbeing and help you to be the carer that you want to be!

Dates for 2024 are:

Carers in the Workplace Webinars:

11th July, 10am

18th July, 7.30pm

Some days are just too much, aren’t they?

The struggles of unpaid, everyday caring can take their toll.

You are not only physically and mentally exhausted from the daily responsibilities but also from the battles you are having, fighting to be heard and recognised for the work you do coupled with the lack of resources to help.

Being a carer can feel isolating and relentless and often you are alone with no one to talk to and nowhere to go.

We understand that caring for the mental and physical health of others is so important.

But what about you?

Who seems to consider your health and wellbeing?

Who is stopping you from burning out?

You are not only physically and mentally exhausted from the daily responsibilities but also from the battles you are having, fighting to be heard and recognised for the work you do coupled with the lack of resources to help.

Welcome to The Carers Collective…

How Our Programme Can Help

Whether you are stressed, exhausted, burnt out or needing new skills to manage your caring role, our Building Resilience & Wellbeing for Carers Programme can help.

Often carers are juggling many responsibilities which can become overwhelming and exhausting. Many carers speak of burn out, but in reality, simply working out how to do it all can be overwhelming.

Being honest about what you are dealing with and asking for help is the first step towards taking back your control.

The Blog

We offer our Building Resilience & Wellbeing programme to those currently in a caring role.

The aim of these group sessions is to educate you about how your brain works and how you can both look after and build your mental resilience.

The coaching element of the session will support you to find solutions and to look at what changes you can make in your life to get back on track or stay on track.

The sessions will end with a guided relaxation.   When in a deep relaxation, the subconscious mind becomes open and receptive to positive suggestion and reinforcement and positive suggestions are integrated much more effectively than is possible while your mind is alert.

Each group will have space for between 6-8 carers and the programme will consist of 6, 90 minutes sessions. These sessions will be delivered on a weekly basis, and are currently online via Zoom.

The Sessions are fully funded and we expect you to attend all 6 sessions. There will be a refundable deposit of £20 when you register. This will be returned to you at the end of the 6 sessions, or you can choose to donate it to Carers Collective.
